Last Day of “12 Days of OpenAI”
OpenAI has shared information about their new line of reasoning models, o3 and o3-mini, designed to significantly enhance AI's ability to understand and process complex queries more effectively.
The o3 and o3-mini models have been released for public safety testing, but are not yet available to the public.
Initial tests show that the o3 models are already massively outperforming the recently released o1 preview and o1 models in various benchmarks.
OpenAI has once again acted with massive speed, releasing details about the successor to the o1 model, which was given full access to users only about one month ago.
The o3 model is planned for public release by the end of January.
If you’d like to stay as updated as possible, I recommend checking out all the updates from the 12 Days of OpenAI event via the link below:
Tech Giants Making Moves
Apple approaches a $4 trillion valuation, driven by AI advancements and an anticipated iPhone supercycle. Apple’s strategic integration of AI across its product ecosystem continues to enhance user experiences and operational efficiency.
Microsoft shifts strategy by ending its exclusive partnership with OpenAI, paving the way for broader collaborations in the AI space. This move could accelerate innovation across multiple sectors.

Nvidia expands into robotics with plans to launch Jetson Thor, their latest computer for humanoid robots, in early 2025. This move positions Nvidia at the forefront of the robotics revolution.
The Regulatory Landscape for AI

Regulations for AI technology are absolutely necessary, and it’s great to see them being implemented more and more, especially given the fast development of companies like Waymo, which already operates self-driving cars in:
Phoenix, Arizona: Extensive coverage in Metro Phoenix.
San Francisco, California: Full city coverage.
Los Angeles, California: Service in Santa Monica and Downtown LA.
And have upcoming expansions in…
Austin, Texas: Launching in early 2025 via the Uber app.
Atlanta, Georgia: Expected launch in early 2025 with Uber partnership.
Miami, Florida: Planned for 2025, expanding to the general public by 2026.
Taxi drivers in these cities are already losing jobs due to AI-powered taxi rides taking over their customers.
It will be incredible, but also a bit scary, to see what happens in all areas of AI in the next 5–10 years.
