Context

OpenAI is set to release GPT-4.5, codenamed "Orion," as its final model before transitioning to GPT-5. This move aims to simplify their AI offerings and enhance functionality.

Key Information

  • GPT-4.5 (Orion): Marginal improvements over GPT-4; marks the end of non-chain-of-thought models.

  • GPT-5: Will integrate various technologies, including o3, into a unified AI system.

  • Product Simplification: OpenAI plans to consolidate its complex product lineup for a more seamless user experience.

What to Take Away from This

With Sam and the organisation at Open AI realising how complicated the use of AI models can be for the non-technical person, you can expect the GPT-4.5 and GPT-5 models to become even easier to use than prior models.

Elon Musk's xAI to Launch Grok 3 AI model

  • Advanced Reasoning: Claims to possess superior reasoning capabilities compared to current AI models.

  • Integration: Designed to work seamlessly within the X platform (formerly Twitter).

What to Take Away from This

If you are a regular user of the X.com platform you can expect the Grok AI model to become better than before.
